European talent management programme for a corporate finance department

Assignment:

Six finance directors in a global group’s northern European division commissioned us to develop an international talent management programme. The core element of the programme was the development of a European ‘talent community’ for 50 top talents. To mark the launch of the programme a large-scale event was held where mixed groups of top talents developed solutions for current business challenges and discussed these directly with the finance directors. The solutions led to longer-term strategy project that were taken on by international virtual teams within the talent community. The accompanying change controlling project revealed an ongoing increase in the top talents’ level of identification with the Northern European division. The number of top talents leaving the group that year was significantly lower than in the year before.
