National Blended Learning Strategy for a Corporate Academy

National Blended Learning Strategy for a Corporate Academy

Instruments: persona-based approach · strategy workshops · best-practice framework · blended-learning guideline · restructuring checklist

Context

The academy of REWE wanted to place its learning portfolio on a unified, national foundation – a clear framework for combining online and in-person learning in order to provide target-group-specific learning scenarios for employees from administration, sales and logistics. The aim was not an off-the-shelf concept, but an applicable guideline.

Task

PUETTGEN Consulting supported the internal project team as an external process and subject-matter partner: designing and facilitating three full-day strategy workshops, contributing a best-practice framework for blended learning campaigns, and creating a “conversion” checklist for transitioning existing seminars.

Approach

Co-creative, participation- and needs-oriented: persona-based design, external blended learning know-how as a best-practice framework, and a consistent focus on an applicable product rather than a one-off workshop.

Formats

Three full-day strategy workshops with the project team and relevant stakeholders; a best-practice framework from learning needs through learning objectives, personas and methods to self-directed materials, live sessions and transparent learning progress; a “conversion” checklist; a visualized strategy/guideline.

Role

As an external process facilitator, PUETTGEN Consulting contributed L&D subject-matter expertise, designed and facilitated the strategy workshops in a two-consultant team, delivered best practices and tools, and turned the results into a ready-to-use guideline.

Transfer

The conversion checklist breaks down content by synchronous and asynchronous learning and selects suitable formats for each learning objective – so that the company can systematically transition existing seminars into blended learning.
