Strategy-to-Action Program for IT Teams

Context
The IT and technology services unit of AXA Tech wanted its corporate strategy not to remain abstract but to take effect at the team level – scalable and consistent across many teams in several countries, without falling into slide-heavy strategy cascades.
Task
The goal was a format that makes strategy understandable, enables leaders as change leaders, and empowers every team to make its own contribution to the transformation.
Approach
At its core was a manager-to-team cascade: leaders were enabled and passed the format on to their teams. Bottom-up chosen initiatives with an action plan, progress tracking, and embedding connected strategy and everyday work; team diagnostics (Lencioni) and experiential methods strengthened collaboration.
Formats
“Energize” – four modules over four to six months, each in two steps: Manager Session (enabling the leaders) and Team Workshop (format within the team). The learning path led from the strategic vision through change leadership and team development to “Share to Succeed” with a concluding sharing marketplace.
Role
PUETTGEN Consulting designed and adapted the program, enabled the leaders in the Manager Sessions, facilitated the Team Workshops, conducted the team diagnostics, and supported the initiatives – across several waves in two countries.
Transfer
Throughout the program, each team worked on a real, self-chosen transformation initiative – from vision through action plan to embedding; the sharing marketplace made results visible and sustained the energy over months.
Distinctive Feature
Strategy is not presented but translated through leaders and teams into concrete, self-chosen initiatives – scaled across several waves in Belgium and Germany.
